So you would like to know more about wedding officiant Joseph Forsstrom? Well, I am the owner and sole employee of Joe Ties Knots. I’m 50yo, live in Glenside, PA with my wife of 18 years, and we are the parents of two beautiful daughters.
I decided to become a wedding officiant after attending the wedding of one of my wife’s co-workers. The ceremony was well-written and fun, but the officiant’s delivery left a lot to be desired. It really detracted from the overall ceremony. I decided to become a wedding officiant to do my best to make sure every bride and groom has the memories they deserve of their wedding day.
I have a BA in Secondary Education – English (though I have worked in the IT field for over 20 years). I also have a love of acting and have starred or been featured in numerous plays, films, and commercials. I believe this combination of skill sets gives me a somewhat unique background in regards to being a successful wedding officiant. Not only am I am able to pay meticulous attention to detail when transferring your requests into the written version of the ceremony you want, I am able to deliver the ceremony in a way to satisfy both the two of you AND your guests, keeping the entire attendance engaged (if not involved).
I am 4-for-4 regarding Philadelphia sports (5-for-5 counting the Union) with the Eagles being my #1. Just recently I purchased a ukulele because…why not?! I would not put it down as a “talent” yet, but I’m working on it! Who knows, maybe I will be able to use it at a future wedding! For the time being, lets just call it a hobby.
I have my ordainment through the Universal Life Church and the American Marriage Ministries.
